Winners announced for UNESCO-Japan prize on ESD 2018


UNESCO has announced the three winners of the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development 2018.

The winners are the Namib Desert Environmental Education Trust (NaDEET) from Namibia; the Kalabia Foundation (YaKIn) from Indonesia; and the Let’s Do It Foundation from Estonia. Each of the three non-profit organizations will receive an award of US$ 50,000.

The Prize was established by UNESCO’s Executive Board in the framework of the Global Action Programme on ESD (GAP) in 2015, to showcase and reward outstanding ESD projects and programmes.
